| Maxwell is
our seven year old bichon frise. Max has completely trained Jody and I.
He sleeps in our bed and walks us a half dozen times each day.
He is the most spoiled dog on the planet. His favoite food is spaghetti
with meat sauce. He also loves salmon with honey mustard glaze or
just smoked with a bagel and cream cheese, lamb chops and an occasional
florentine omelette with shitake mushrooms for breakfast!
About six and a half years ago Max was hit by a car and suffered critical
injuries including a traumatic rupture of the diaphragm. His right lung
was collapsed with the bulk of the small intestines were driven into his
right chest cavity. He had a fractured pelvis and a contused bladder and
kidney. We almost lost him but the vet operated, repaired the ruptured
diaphragm and inserted a chest tube to re-expand the right lung. 'Mother
Nature' did the rest with alot of prayer and tears. Now, he is back to
his old self.
He loves when Jon brings Kirby home for a sleep-over so they can play
together. |
